Warrior 4 Rules

Any front wheel drive (foreign or domestic), 4 cylinder automobile, made 2003 or earlier, with maximum wheel base of 105"

No turbochargers, no convertibles, no rotary engines, pickup trucks, vans or four wheel drive cars. If so equipped, all wheel steering cars must disable rear steering.


BODY AND GLASS (Warrior 4)

  1. All glass must be removed except front windshield. Lexan windshield is permitted, but if used must include bracing with a minimum of two 3/8" diameter steel bars for safety and support. A screen may be used in place of a windshield, but must meet the requirements in rule 3.A. of the Stock Car Rules in the Windshield and Glass section. Drivers using a screen must wear a full face helmet.

  2. All exterior trim including lights, body moldings, mirrors, etc. must be removed. All doors must be chained orwelded shut.

  3. Hood and trunk must be secured with hood pins only and must use stock hinges. No other latching devices permitted unless approved by technical inspector. Cars equipped with hatchbacks must retain them as stock and must be welded, chained or pinned to secure.

  4. Cars equipped with sunroof must remove glass and cover roof hole with minimum 16 gauge steel, no aluminum and must be welded or riveted. NO SCREWS. Any exterior holes from lights or rust may be covered with aluminum or metal and riveted or welded, NO SCREWS.

  5. Bumpers must be stock as manufactured for that car. Bracing or reinforcing of bumpers is allowed. Bumpers may be capped with 16 gauge steel no wider than the bumper.

    1. An alternate front bumper and Nose can be welded(Bolted) into place, as a substitute, if the original equipment has been damaged by a previous accident beyond repair.

  1. Additional (aero), ground effects, spoilers, wings will be allowed if they are mounted safely without a Hindrance to drivers safety or the technical crew.

  2. Drivers side mirror will be allowed if it is installed on the upper left part of roll cage.

  3. It is Recommended to have a working, third, brake light


GAS TANKS (Warrior 4)

  1. Stock fuel tank recommended, mounted in stock location. If stock fuel tank was located behind rear axle, it must be removed and replaced with an 8 Gallon Max. fuel cell.

  2. It must be secured and fastened with atleast two 1 1/2 "straps, in each direction. There must be a Fire barrier in-between Tank and driver.

  3. No Bottom draw Gas tanks.


INTERIOR (Warrior4)

  1. Any flammable materials, must be removed from interior. Door panels, headliner, extra (unused) wiring, dash/glove box, etc.

  2. A stock interior mirror can be braced and secured more effectively


ROLL BAR (Warrior 4)

Attn: If your car is legal to race at a local track where One roll bar (Drivers hoop and supports) with A steel door plate is allowed. You will be able to compete in this series at 1/3 or smaller tracks.

1.To allow ALL cars to compete at 1/3 mile or larger tracks. A basic 4-6 point roll cage with minimum 3 door bars is mandatory. If you plan to compete in more than one Gladiator Endurance Auto Racing event in 2011, a Roll Cage must be constructed of 1 3/4" diameter by .095" wall tubing. The 4 Main vertical posts must be welded and Sandwiched(Bolted) to Body with 4"X4"X1/8 plates.

Bends should be made with a bender (no kinks) or be miter cut, welded and gusseted. No portion of the rollbar or cage is to pass through the firewall or be attached to the frame so as to stiffen the car. Additional bracing is allowed but limited to the following: 1" square tubing between front strut towers, 1 3/4" x .095" wall round tubing between front horns, 1 3/4" x .095" wall round tubing between rear strut towers. Down bars may be attached to rear strut tower tubing but not beyond.


BATTERY (Warrior 4)

  1. If in stock location, battery must be securely mounted and tied down. Top post batteries must be covered to protect from short out.

  2. Battery may be relocated behind driver, but must be securely mounted with steel to steel tie down inside a covered battery box.

  3. 12 Volt electrical systems ONLY


BRAKES (Warrior 4)

  1. Stock as delivered from manufacturer with no modifications. Must be capable of locking all four wheels.

  2. Stock proportioning valves only.

  3. No drilling of rotors


TRANSMISSION AND AXLES (Warrior 4)

  1. Stock (Automatic or Manual transmission) as delivered from manufacturer with no modifications.

  2. No aftermarket, Lightweight flywheels or pressure plates.

  3. A 1" inspection hole should be cut into the bellhousing of all manual transmission vehicles, so that the flywheel and pressure plate can be examined.

  4. No Posi-traction differentials in this class


EXHAUST SYSTEM (Warrior 4)

  1. NO Headers: If your car came with a header from the factory. It must be removed and replaced. 2" maximum diameter exhaust pipe is required on all 4 and 6 cylinder cars.

  2. A muffler is required on all vehicles. The catalytic converter may be removed or gutted.

  3. Exhaust system must run from engine to somewhere beyond driver's seat and under the floor pan.


STEERING AND SUSPENSION (Warrior 4)

  1. Must be Stock as delivered from manufacturer with no modifications.

  2. Car must maintain stock ride attitude.

  3. Car must have stock springs, Identical in height, and diameter

  4. No spring spacers or spring rubbers

  5. 1" camber is allowed at the right and left front wheels, No camber allowed at the rear wheels.


COOLING SYSTEM (Warrior 4)

  1. Stock as delivered from manufacturer.

  2. Fan shrouds required.(electric or manual fans)

  3. No antifreeze, water only.

  4. (Water Wetter) can be used

  5. Must have Overflow tank in engine compartment

SAFETY (Warrior 4)

  1. Fire suits are recommended. Full clothing required. Long sleeve shirt, pants, leather shoes and gloves.

  2. SNELL(Rated) 95 or Newer helmet, Mandatory.

  3. A small fire extinguisher should be safely mounted in the Car.

  4. Driver's seat must be an aluminum, made for racing seat ( Mounted to the roll Cage) with proper mounting hardware. Extra neck, head and leg supports are allowed if the drivers exit of vehicle, is not hindered.

  5. Window nets are required.

  6. A 3" made for racing, 4-5 point, seat belt harness is required. Optional Crotch belt recommended.

  7. An Ignition/Fuel Pump KILL switch is mandatory. It Should be properly marked and easy for Outside access. In case of rollover.

  8. Cars must have a front and rear Tow Hook/cable

  9. All roll Bars surrounding driver, Must be covered by roll bar padding.


TIRES AND WHEELS (Warrior 4)

  1. DOT passenger car, 55, 60, 65, 70, or 75 series tires only. Tire ratings H, S, T, V and Z will be allowed. Individual tires cannot cost more than $70 new. If car places in top 10 tire cost will be verified with receipt or online in tech.

  2. Shaving, grinding, buffing or profiling of tires will be allowed. A person or business which could provide that service will be listed on the website.

  3. Both front wheels must have 1" lug nuts. It is recommended to have 1" lug nuts on all wheels.

  4. Stock type or made for racing 6" rims are allowed and recommended on Right side of car. Stock production aluminum wheels can be used. Offset wheels may be used. Tire sizes may be mixed but ALL tires on each car must be the same size rim. Sizes of 13", 14" and 15" cannot be mixed.


ENGINE (Warrior 4)

  1. Stock as delivered from manufacturer. Complete stock motor for car used with NO MODIFICATIONS or aftermarket performance parts allowed. Unnecessary wiring, air compressors, smog pumps, heater and air conditioning components may be removed.

  2. Compression should be (AS close to Stock) as manufactured FROM FACTORY

  3. Car must use Stock air cleaner housing
